“ During the last six months Seaway Powell Marine has been
developing the design for a new family of single lay captive winches which
enable heave loads ranging from 1 ton to 24 tons. The design is aimed at
reducing the weight of the winch whilst ensuring the required levels of
strength and robustness. The design also incorporates features to
mitigate against the inherent and expensive problems associated with sheet wear
and tear. The 9 ton version is currently being built for a customer and
will form the cornerstone of the range”
